Wines included in the tasting:
~ 2018 Christopher Creek Lavio Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma)
Hand tended vines create world class wines. A red berry and leather intro shows the working farm qualities that we have grown to love from this 'West of Petaluma' vineyard. The unique fruity mid-palate leaves a lingering taste while the barrel flavors support the age-ability of this wine. Aging in 30% new French oak barrels.
~ 2018 Meritage
Fresh red fruit, with just a touch of oak introduces itself in the glass while the notorious Dry Creek Valley cherry claws its way to the front. Medium body with some ripe tannins lines the base like secure stepping stones. A long, solid finish accentuates the spice and highlights the age-ability of this fine wine.
~ 2018 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
A short, cool fermentation leads to a fruit forward wine with a roundness that satisfies and shows the diversity of the Anderson Valley. Aged in 30% new French oak barrels.
~ 2018 Sotoyome Red Blend
This wine flexes its muscle early and often as seen on the complex fruit forward intro, that dwindles into a serious mid palate. With plenty of life in this wine, be prepared to enjoy the evolution as air will cause this wine to reveal its clout with each passing moment.
~ 2023 Pinot Noir Rose
Fresh with substance, it contains a flavor profile of honey, red fruit, pomegranate, and is slightly yeasty.
